production and development Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase DBA, with 16 years experience of Sybase and Unix, and
13 years of SQL Server. Possessing a strong knowledge of database issues, along with an ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, I have successfully helped to manage the support of a medium sized database server environment, with around 120 servers on 2 different platforms (SQL Server and Sybase). This has included all aspects of database management including installation, production performance issues, security patching, and the promotion of in-house and external releases. I was also responsible for maintaining development and test environments to support system development. I have also recently been exposed to both Windows and Unix Administration tasks Between June 2005 and March 2006 I had
some time off, as I relocated to Am currently under contract until Mid November 2010. |
